What is VBS?
Vacation Bible School is a week-long event that runs from 9:00 am till Noon. All kids 4 years old through those having completed 6th grade come to participate in games, scripture memory, crafts, food, music and a puppet production.
“You have never been to a VBS like this”; this year we are use using themes & curriculum from Regular Baptist Press, but we do all our own Crafts, Games, Music & Puppet Production.

Opening / Closing Assembly
Every day kids & leaders are involved in a high energy Opening & Closing Assembly. Typically, the Assemblies have Live/Pre-Recorded Music by our own Band, Skits, Puppet Production, Team Point Competition, Pie-ing of Leaders, and Team-building Games.
Parents are welcome to attend the Closing Assembly at 11:30 AM.
Puppet Production
This year’s puppet production is about Benny, a rookie lifeguard who from "Captain" Bob learns how to be a pro lifeguard along with many other important life issues.
The puppet production was written by Pastor Mike & Pastor Bryan, voices/narrated by our own church attendees, edited by our tech guy, and will be presented by our Youth Ministry Team puppeteers. Part of this production will be presented live, and some on video (pre-recorded ahead of time).

Music Time / Live Music
Each day kids get to learn and sing songs and learn motions to go along with the songs. We have a live band for some songs, while other songs are pre-recorded. There is a separate Music Time for each group along with the Opening/Closing Assembly.
The Music Team Coach is Dave Hewitt.
Recreation Time/Games/Snack Time
Everyday kids get to go outdoors (weather permitting) and participate in team-building games, or just fun games. Everything from dodge-ball to Uncle Sam is played and on Friday there will be a dunk-tank (kids get to dunk the leaders), water slide and carnival style games.
Snack Time is also incorporated into Recreation time.

“LCAT”
LCAT consist of Lesson, Craft & Activity Time that will take place in a group’s specified area. Craft will be brought to this area instead of having a designated craft location. If you are in 4th grade and under, your lesson will be taught this year by Missionary David Boyd, who is from the Netherlands. If you are in 5th-6th grade, Pastor Bryan will be leading your lesson.

Child Safety
We here at Calvary make it our top priority to keep your children safe. Children are always under supervision, and are always kept on the Church campus.
All children must be registered. Registration provides us your Phone Numbers, Street Address, and any medical conditions that your child may have. This gives us all the information in case something goes wrong, or if your child wants to go home.
VBS Staff
Each year approximately 75 church attendees assist with our VBS. With this many volunteers we can provide a safe and exciting environment for kids of all ages.
All VBS workers have been pre-approved and have taken a child safety course.
Workers are split into the different age groups, and events like music, crafts, games, and food. There is also the clean-up crew that spends many hours after VBS is over cleaning up after 200+ kids, and our Puppet Production Crew. There are also our office workers, Pastors, and our new head honcho VBS director; Michelle Dellaperute.
